Camp Tech Revolution's Robotics camp offers an immersive, hands-on experience where campers learn the fundamentals of robotics and coding. Depending on age, participants will work with LEGO® MINDSTORMS® or Arduino® platforms. Younger campers (ages 6-10) will use Scratch™ for drag-and-drop coding to build functional robots, while older campers (ages 10-14) will delve into real-world programming with Python™ and ROS2 (Robot Operating System 2) to master robotics engineering and AI concepts. Activities include designing and creating custom robots, integrating sensors and motors, programming movements and behaviors, and participating in weekly ROBOWARS tournaments. Campers will gain valuable skills in problem-solving, computational thinking, and teamwork, culminating in the exciting opportunity to take home their robot to continue their learning journey.
A typical day involves hands-on building and coding of robots, learning new programming concepts, and engaging in collaborative maker spaces, with outdoor fun during recess and exciting weekly events.
