TIC Summer Camp offers a balanced program of technology instruction and spirited athletic activities for campers aged 7 to 15 (rising 2nd-10th graders). Campers choose one technology option for each two-week session, allowing for in-depth learning and project completion. Technology options include programming, robotics, Minecraft modding, 3D game design, Roblox, animation, filmmaking, digital photography & design, and digital music. The individualized instruction, with a 4:1 camper-to-counselor ratio in technology, allows campers to progress at their own pace and tailor projects to their interests. The other half of the day is dedicated to three different sports activities, emphasizing physical challenge and choice, with options like soccer, basketball, volleyball, capture the flag, and more. The camp focuses on fostering creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and personal growth in an inclusive and encouraging environment.
A typical day begins with drop-off between 8:00-8:30 AM, followed by a camp-wide morning greet at 8:30 AM. Campers then engage in either a 3-hour technology program or 3 hours of athletic activities, switching after a 30-minute lunch break from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM. The camp day concludes with pick-up between 3:00-3:15 PM, with an optional extended day until 5:30 PM.
