The Virginia Tech - Flight Lab: Drone Dynamics in Action is a high-energy, hands-on summer program designed for middle and high school students interested in flight, coding, and innovation. Participants will explore the world of aerial robotics through daily challenges, guided learning, and collaborative exploration. The camp introduces students to unmanned aircraft systems, teaching them to build, test, and fly drones. Students will gain valuable insights into the engineering principles and physics of flight, and receive real-world FAA drone safety training, potentially earning a Recreational UAS Safety Test (TRUST) certificate. Students will also learn about related careers, tour labs, and build and launch Quest Starhawk rockets.
