About this camp

The Club SciKidz NOVA - Jr. Space Explorer camp offers an exciting journey through the Milky Way with over twenty astronomy projects. Campers will engage in hands-on activities such as experimenting with screaming balloon rockets, using solar glasses, constructing and utilizing a star finder, and building telescopes. They will also have the opportunity to build and launch their own rockets, create glow-in-the-dark models of Saturn, design UV bracelets, and build sundials. The program aims to inspire a love for STEM by demonstrating how science works in the real world through interactive experiments and make-and-take projects, fostering observation, measurement, identification of properties, and experimentation skills related to life, earth, and physical science concepts. The curriculum is designed to be exciting and interactive, keeping children engaged and eager to learn, and often includes language arts, history, and mathematical components to enrich and empower children in science exploration.
