E4: Mission: Engineering is a one-week in-person summer program for rising 10th-12th graders designed to provide a deeper understanding of the field of engineering and what it means to be a conscientious engineer in the modern world. Students will work in teams on hands-on challenges, including digital modeling of a team emblem, various design tasks, and basic programming. Guided discussions will introduce foundational engineering concepts like the design process and ethical responsibility. The program aims to help students explore different areas of engineering and identify their passions within the field, providing basic 3D modeling and programming skills for independent exploration beyond the program. It is part of the E4 Exploring Exciting Engineering Essentials series created by the UVA School of Engineering and Applied Science.
