The George Mason University ACCESS Academy Artificial Intelligence Summer Camp offers high school students an immersive, hands-on experience in AI and robotics. Participants dive into real-world challenges using problem-based learning, exploring the fundamentals of machine learning through practical projects. Students gain skills in coding, critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity as they design and build with beginner-friendly tech tools. The camp aims to expose students to technologies shaping the future, helping them develop the skills needed for technology-sector careers. Activities include programming micro:bit robots, and for advanced sessions, learning Python and building functional code for XRP robots to autonomously traverse mazes. Students also prototype and present original ideas and solutions.
Students engage in hands-on activities, working with micro:bit or XRP robots, learning coding concepts, and collaborating on projects to solve real-world challenges.
