The Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) E-Summer Program is a six-week pre-college program designed for rising high school juniors and seniors interested in STEM careers, particularly within the energy industry. Students will earn college credits by taking two courses: ENE 108 - Introduction to Data Center Operations (3 credits) and SDV 100 - College Success Skills (1 credit). The program emphasizes hands-on learning, featuring industry-led sessions and site visits to local energy facilities, providing participants with practical insights and exposure to potential career paths. Beyond academic enrichment, students will develop essential college success skills, learn about NOVA resources, and gain a valuable head start on their college transcripts.
Classes meet in person on campus from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays, with lunch provided.
