Techbridge Girls focuses on re-engineering STEM education to create equitable learning experiences that celebrate, advocate for, and center Black, Indigenous, and all girls of color, empowering them to be builders and leaders in the STEM revolution.
The Techbridge Girls Data Science and AI Program for Middle School Girls is a multi-session program designed to equip girls with foundational AI literacy and data science skills. The curriculum emphasizes critical thinking, ethics, community impact, and human-centered problem-solving. Participants explore how AI systems use data, patterns, and algorithms, while also examining the human decisions behind these systems and how bias can appear in technology. The program aims to move students beyond simply using AI tools to understanding how AI works and how STEM can be used to solve real-world community challenges. Activities are hands-on and culturally relevant, encouraging collaboration and fostering a sense of belonging in STEM. Girls develop technical skills, strengthen their STEM identity, and build solutions that benefit their communities. The program also focuses on increasing girls' awareness of STEM careers and developing leadership, confidence, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.
